Our DIY handmade kit is a perfect clone of the legendary Neumann M49 tube microphone ✅ the standard for years in the recording industry and studios around the world. You have the choice in the options, either in DIY it’s you the builder or already assembled by Mic&Mod and ready to play!
The perfect M49 clone
The schematic is a full replica of the original microphone. We have adapted our K47 capsule for this model which has the same characteristics as the vintage K47/K49 model offered at the time, the most exigent will also be able to choose the optional M7 capsule for this mythical model!
After many years of research and measurements, we finally found a miniature replacement triode tube with excellent specifications, that is very close in sound and performance to the original AC701 tube!
All components are carefully matched and selected in our workshops. We attach great importance to the precision of our circuits to be as accurate as possible compared to the original vintage M49.
We have tried to stay as close as possible to the original vintage design, here is the new vintage label from MIC&MOD which will be affixed to every DIY or built model kit!
