M25 Frequency Curve
Comparison between both curves if you installed the 10 nF extra capacitor.
The red curve indicates the frequency without the installation of the extra 10nF capacitor, the sound will be brighter, while on the black curve with the 10nF capacitor, the sound will be flatter.
I bought 2 Kits as (quite cheap) overheads. They do not disappoint. The sound seems very neutral, almost as if it is a SDC.
I have only yet used it on Speech, Guitar (Electric and Acoustic) and Vocals.
Sometimes I miss the big sound of a LDC as I'm used to that, but these mics just work well in any condition, take EQ incredibly well, have more resolution and pressure than anything else under 1000€ that I've heard....I'm happy, despite not being used to the sound signature yet.
Thumbs up! Great Kit! The boy is a tad smaller than expected, lovely and more heavy than the cheapo 30€ mics.
