Our DIY handmade kit is a perfect inspiration of the legendary Vintage U87 FET microphone ✅ the standard for years in the recording industry and studios around the world. You have the choice in the options, either in DIY it’s you the builder or already assembled by Mic&Mod and ready to play!
Rediscovering a legend!
The schematic is inspired by the vintage original microphone. It’s a side-address, large-diaphragm design based on K87 capsule, the best FET, premiums componants and a T87 transformer-coupled output circuit.
All components are carefully matched and selected in our workshops. We attach great importance to the precision of our circuits to be as accurate as possible compared to the vintage model.
