Rediscovering a legend!

The schematic is inspired by the vintage original microphone. It’s a side-address, large-diaphragm design based on K87 capsule, the best FET, premiums componants and a T87 transformer-coupled output circuit.

All components are carefully matched and selected in our workshops. We attach great importance to the precision of our circuits to be as accurate as possible compared to the vintage model.

Great

Really happy with our stereo pair of the m87 mics. Can't personally compare it to the original vintage U87 as I've never used one but this build was easy enough for us to do with a few months of experience building guitar pedals. Happy with the sound and the materials are very solid and well made. Also like the box. Would definitely buy another kit or two from Mic and Mod

Better than the Neumann legend

I have now built 3 of them and all sounded richer and clearer in comparison shots than an original Neumann U87Ai. My recommendation: Use the attached modified capacitor for more low end and search for the mod for the low cut filter in Discord!

The best U87 clone for me!

Took a long time to arrive (in Australia) but it was worth the wait. This mic is just amazing, the sound is pure and provides no imperfections, I'm thinking of recommending another one soon!
