Our Premium K84 SDC Microphone Capsule is a perfect clone of the legendary KK84 Capsule ✅ the standard for years inside the vintage KM84 Fet Microphone.
Features of the SDC K84 Capsule :
The capsules we offer here under the name K84 are alternatives to the well-known KK84, which was produced in the 70s and 80s. These capsules, intended for the legendary KM84, had a melodious sound on instruments such as acoustic guitar.
The K84 Premium capsule of the brand “Replica Microphone” is a small diaphragm condenser capsule made from quality metal and brass alloy materials and premium silver-gray paint.
It will be a very good addition to your DIY KM84 setup or other SDC microphone who accept M21 x 0.5 threading and a 3mm contact pin.
3 choices of capsules are available: cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional. We also offer matched capsules at attractive prices.

Frequency Response:
Here is the analysis graph between sound level and response frequency (Hz) developed for the 3 differents K84 capsules. Analysis made by an independent sound laboratory.
Result : The capsules K84 Premium in most polar patterns has a flatter, more linear response, and there’s no loss of dB at around 7 to 10 kHz like can have other cheap SDC capsules.
